VOICE runs structured, nonpartisan programs that turn civic interest into civic leadership — for adults, youth, and aspiring public servants at every stage of engagement.
The Civic Readiness Series is VOICE's flagship adult education program — practical, nonpartisan instruction on how local government works and how community members can engage constructively in public life in North America.
This series provides education on local governance so that community members can engage through public meetings, advisory bodies, advocacy, or public service roles. Open to all adults at every stage of civic engagement, from first-time participants to those considering formal leadership roles.
GRADES 9–12
VOICE's early leadership development program introduces high school students to civic responsibility, ethical leadership, and public service through age-appropriate, nonpartisan instruction. Students gain a practical understanding of how local government works and how young people can contribute positively to their schools and communities.
Developing analytical skills to evaluate civic issues and engage with complex policy questions with confidence and nuance.
Instilling a commitment to ethical public service and community impact that shapes civic character for a lifetime.
Building confidence and awareness that helps students see themselves as future civic leaders — not observers of democracy, but participants in it.
VOICE's Leadership Pathways provide clear, ethical routes for community members to move from civic education to meaningful public service. Each pathway demystifies local governance, builds confidence, and prepares participants to engage responsibly — grounded in nonpartisanship, integrity, and respect for public institutions.
